@pow_hnd I'm surprised you're investing that much in an IR waxer when you already have Phantom treatment on all your decks.
I still like to wax, but want it to be easy. Really been fine tuning my tuning routine.
Switched to Hertel so I don’t need different waxes and bought a full set of Roto brushes.
Now with this IR waxer, it’s literally under 10 minutes total to wax a deck and 5 minutes of that is letting it cool before hitting it with the Roto brush.
And no more cleaning up wax scrapings.

unexpected addition. bought a few raffle tickets and scored at the Impaler/Moron premier on Friday night. boards hadn’t landed yet, but they came today and I got this bad boy hand-delivered.
‘23 158 Kwon from DWD. pretty stoked. always wanted a Dino, and I think this will fill the hole the Aeronaut made me imagine was in my quiver, haha. 90’s round tip shape, the lightest touch of taper (1mm) and 3.7cm setback on a 252 waist with camber through the middle and flat/early rise tips.
Are the DWD boards still made at the Mothership? Or were they one of the smaller brands that left/got forced out due to not ordering enough?

no more Mothership, not 100% sure where they’re out of now, my best guess is Playmaker out of Taiwan based on the UPC label.

someone thought they were gonna rip like Mikkel
Lol I’m tempted to ride it just to see how I do, but realistically that’s strictly an alpine terrain board for me. That much edge plus 270 mm of waist and no taper sounds burly.

hows the hertel?
Crazy fast. It also spreads and scrapes super easy. And since it is a true all temp I no longer have to worry about which wax is which or what one I should be using.
The combo of Hertel and Phantom, my decks are crazy fast. I catch and pass all my homies on the cat tracks and there’s a certain hump at Basin that I’m the only one who always makes it up over without having to hop/unstrap.
