And after turn it over and heat up some skettiO'spow_hnd wrote: ↑Fri Nov 03, 2023 4:57 pm EDIT: After waxing a couple of boards and figuring this thing out, all I can say is wow! You use hardly any wax, there is essentially no scraping, just hit it with the roto brush and you're done, the whole process is much, much quicker.

New style waxer, no more scraping.

That tool looks sweet, though.
I don't mind waxing, but with multiple boards, constant wet riding, and not slacking on maintenance... the traditional way gets old.

How am I supposed to hide out from my wife and drink 5 IPAs if my waxing protocol gets this efficient?

I might buy one of those IR waxer things. I don't mind waxing, but I HATE scraping and cleaning wax dust. Not heating up the board directly also sounds like a benefit.
Also it would make waxing the splitboard damned more efficient. I can be lazy with wax cleanup and scraping on solids because the residue is minimal and harmless-- on a splitboard that shit gunks up skins real quick.
@pow_hnd I'm surprised you're investing that much in an IR waxer when you already have Phantom treatment on all your decks.

Pulled trigger on a smoking combo deal on W22 Freethinker 160W and a W20 Custom 170W. Some rich guy was moving and in a hurry to get rid of them. Some minor superficial wear but the edges and bases are pristine.
Excited. I haven't owned a Burton solid in 15 years and have demoed maybe three in the past 10. I may just sell or trade the 170W Custom immediately, but I've been intrigued by the Freethinker for a while.

‘23 158 Kwon from DWD. pretty stoked. always wanted a Dino, and I think this will fill the hole the Aeronaut made me imagine was in my quiver, haha. 90’s round tip shape, the lightest touch of taper (1mm) and 3.9cm setback on a 252 waist with camber through the middle and flat/early rise tips.
