Personally, I never felt the need for those. I've certainly had some deep days on it!

I've always run the orbit on the inserts behind reference.. feels more balanced to me, but those who are used to more of a twin/normal board will probably like ref. Did some measuring between the two & seems like running the transmission the same way will be the ticket for me, but we'll see.

Seems that I got the last 159 Transmission from European store :D :

Very similar to Amplid Pentaquark, little bit wider, little bit longer EE, similar flex (although I do not believe in hand flexing, will see on snow  ). Stance is more on tail, than in Pentaquark.

Hopefully it will steer on edge better than Pentaquark (which does not have "modern steering geometry" :geek: ).

I really wish the cadet worked for me. Still my favorite silhouette.

I haven’t been paying much attention lately, but the Deep Reach just landed on my radar. I looked at the old one a few seasons back but didn’t like how tight the sidecut was. 8m on the 156 now is very tempting. Anybody have one?

The Cadet 154 will be my DD this season, I only had maybe 5-6 days on it end of last season

Same story here. The new one looks sweet & I like the specs. Maybe a little soft for me like the cadet, but if it were closer to the transmission I'd probably want one.

Ditto here (loved that EOS Erik's chat hack where I got it for $300). I'll be putting on the old step ons for ease and zap laps.
