Couple Couple Aeronaut review / first impressions. I like Snowboard Robot a lot, not familiar with Search for Snowboarding but seems decent.

I'm pretty set on buying one-- I might have already bought one, but 161s haven't shipped yet (every other size seems available though). I've learned at this point I just don't really like true twins, but a medium-stiff non-tapered board I can center up sounds like about the ticket. Something I can throw around in the park a little more easily than my wider carving decks, but still send around the rest of the hill.

I can probably swap this with the K2 Instrument depending on the day, and that'll cover like 90% of days of snow, with a couple odd days here and there on some of the wackier shapes for a change of pace.

I generally have no interest in mega-tech, mega-light boards, but this one actually piques my interest. In my experience super light boards means less durability and feeling every variation in terrain and snow quality. But Fawcett rips harder and faster than I could ever dream of, and is in my neighborhood weight wise (I think he's like 190 lbs)... if he signs off on something this hard on gear he isn't getting royalties on, I'm intrigued. Especially since I've heard him say multiple times he actually prefers heavier boards, which is historically my experience.

Snowboard Robot's reviews have been pretty legit. I like his no bullshit approach and he shows him riding the whole time instead of standing in his mom's basement. Side note: his Quik kit is compleeetely soaked through, damn. Search for Snowboarding works for Radio Boardshop in Aspen, so I always take his reviews with a grain of salt because he's trying to sling product.

Agreed, Capita's R&D gets me stoked. I probably won't be dropping $1k on the Mega Death, though haha. Eventually that tech will trickle down into the BSOD, Mercury, DOA, etc.

Not as into the graphic, but def see myself getting one once I'm digging the aesthetic. The W23 Burton SK and K2 Passport are my go-to's currently, so in no rush anyway. First time I'm happy with same boards going into the next season, in some time.

SOS riding ability with SBR personality would be a good reviewer to watch.

Aeronaut looks rad, and of course I'm a big longo fan, but that board missed me by a bit. I would have been all over that thing a handful of years ago, like when I was all about the mullair. Totally irrelevant comment, but hey, we're on a forum after all

i just watched Nitro’s Alternator video and now i’m torn between these two again, even after not loving the Alt initially.

Knut’s description of a Banker/Mtn hybrid sounds so good on paper. but i dig Longo’s art on the topsheet and really liked the feel of the Panda core in my Kazu.

The Mega Death seems like a standard carbon board you would get from custom manufacturers, probably not something that has been massproduced alot.
