I had always wanted to try the Cardiff Powgoda and got to try one last winter. Wow, was not expecting it to be that soft. In powder it was surfy fun but in a steep chute where all the soft snow had slid off already, it was sketchy. Gave it back very quickly.

Bindings on every board. You are not messing around! How is that US Horizon? I just bought a 2021 155 that looks pretty much the same but with a flat tail instead of the mini swallow.

the United Shapes and Banker definitely get the most playtime. the Lib Terrain Wrecker was a surprise hit, too.

Love the US. great balance of playfulness and stability. I think that 2021 is basically the same minus the filled in swallow.

wasn’t really planned with the binding per board, just happened nicely, and it’s hard to go back to switching things out. although there is a small adjustment period figuring which combo works the best.

This bit is why I ultimately collapsed the binding quiver. Adding multiple bindings on top of multiple boards added too many low-impact decisions. I ended up riding whatever NOW/Jones binding was my favorite of the moment— partially because legitimately great bindings, partially because too lazy to swap out.

Times I'm annoyed at swapping bindings at the hill

1. It's a pow morning and I'm losing precious first turns because I set up the wrong board.

2. When I realize I set up the wrong board and swap to the right board but then realize it's still the wrong board and that I want the other board back again.

3. When temps are so low that fiddling with the screws with exposed fingers hurts, but if I go inside my gogs will fog and then immediately freeze when I go back outside.

Bonus annoyance: Trying to puzzle multiple boards with bindings into the Thule to begin with. If anyone else is coming with me it tends to means I only get 1 put together set up.

Truly a deep canyon of pain. Won't someone please feel sorry for me.

Fingers crossed the swappable NOWs live up to my expectations when I get em.
