Then came the TM2 and double BOA and well, but I liked speedzone better. and after a lot of boots, my last boot is the best of all. infuse. I have removed its insole and put those of the tm2 and the change has been exceptional. the boot is different. more sensitive to the board and snow. exceptional. the boot is a glove on my foot. and it’s the first boot that once put on I no longer have to adjust it all day. but it has traditional lace, boa and closure. too many things. I hate the traditional lacing and in this boot for me the custom fit is not necessary because the boot “for me” is perfect. so I miss the speedzone but I won't change this infuse and its perfect fit for any other boot in the world
If you care enough to swap out the insole, just buy an aftermarket. 32 "Performance" insole is better than most stock footbeds, but crap compared to something like Remind, SOLE, Superfeet, etc.

thank you for your advice @kimchi I use custom insoles on my tennis shoes and casual shoes. But in the infuse I used the insoles from the elite 32 linner. But I'll listen to you and look for something better. it is important to me. thank you!!

@jota yea especially if you already need custom footbeds, invest in something higher quality. Even the highest end stock insole is crap compared to a decent aftermarket.

It's a long story but in reference to snowboarding I was hitting my head against the wall when I discovered the foot-boot-board sensation that gave me 32 and I wondered why this had happened after so many years. It opened the doors to a different and better riding for me. That is why what we are talking about insoles is important for me. thank you.

@kimchi on the other hand (for not writing in two different thread) have you been able to see in my photos how to do the step to put B ratchets on jones or now straps? (Another different thing is to put the entire hammock strap. There is no complication there) If you need more photos or an explanation, please tell me. all result is good and safe… and cool 😃😃

@jota I am leaning towards just replacing the entire strap with Hammock straps instead of modifying the Jones stock strap. I am actually starting to like the Jones strap, but I am worried about structural integrity cutting away material on the buckle slot. PROBABLY fine but I have catastrophically broken too much stuff over the years to feel fully comfortable.

Went through a few boots over the past seasons, I've found that every time I've strayed away from 32 boots I was dissatisfied so I guess I'm a 32 dickrider now. I have an old pair of 86fts from 2013-14 ish in Grenier's LRG colorway that I keep preserved to this day for old time's sake lmao. Tried out the Lashed for a season, swapped to the Vans Infuse and promptly went back to the Lashed after the Infuse's BOA exploded on me after 3 days of riding. Sold the Lashed, went to the Ride Fuse (Schubert's model) and had the worst footpain I've ever had riding and eventually went to the 32 TM-2 Merrills and have never looked back lol

No doubt, the B DT hammock are much much stronger than the jones, the ratchet is fixed to the Strap and both the quality, the whole set, is very strong…

The problem of the structural part is if you cut the piece, but what I did was to remove (like when you peel potatoes) or rather sand only in the area where the ratchet had to enter, and think that the force is supported by the screw

Next year i’ll try my B DT hammock on the jones bindings but this year i wanted to experiment with the B ratches and jones straps to keep the surf mode

On the other hand, I am a light rider and I make the bindings suffer little, but if you used to breaks the toys, B DT hammock is without a doubt the strongest

Same here, to this day Grenier's 86FT is still one of the best looking boots IMO. They're too small for me now but some days I'll bust them out and suffer through the pain to look cool

Had a spring mixed-condition day in my ION's. My intension was to compare them to my beloved TM-2's. After some laps I used Decathlon stiffeners which didn't make big difference. ION's after 3 season were quite responsive, but the boot was not supporting my ankle and at noon I felt pain. That reminded me how three years ago the season ended for me in the middle of March because of sprained ankle with the ION's. The problem with these boot is that there is no articulation which distorts the shell when pushed hard. Burton Life liner is cushier, but 32's Performance when molded to the foot is next level. To me TM-2 is not just cheaper, but the more superior boot. I want to try SLX as my next boot, but cannot justify the price.
