You do you, I'm just one judgmental asshole on the internet. From my perspective, Spyder is the ski dweebiest of ski dweeb brands. I legit don't even really know anything about Spyder, don't anyone who rides it, don't know anything about the team, don't anything about the brand, just from the moment I saw it in a sports retail store I went "Wow" that looks lame." Nothing in the past 20 years has disabused me of that first impression.

You’ve got some fair points there
What brands do you support or advocate?

Lol not wearing Spyder alone is worth buying the Swash. I'll support ice-axe-y historically ski-centric brands like Arc'teryx, but I draw the line at Spyder.
When I worked at Breck as a liftie the uniforms were Spyder. The pants velcro’d all the way down the outseam and they were the worst piece of outerwear I’ve ever experienced haha.
I truly appreciate the feedback
What’s so bad about spyder?
I’ve always used their dare pants since they have suspenders but I guess my next pair will not be spyder nor will I support the brand anymore, but could you guys explain why? It would be greatly appreciated
As for pants with suspenders.. any suggestions? Unfortunately the swash don’t have suspenders and the burton bibs seem a little extreme with how far they ride up
Thank you
If you have to ask, you wont understand.

How does the burton vent goretex pant compare to the swash, they seem similar to an extent and the price different is literally about 50%

I have had both. The vent pants I had are much slimmer through the ass and thighs (even though it's not mentioned.) They are a couple seasons old but look exactly like the green ones shown, so I don't think they have changed. The swash ones I have are from last year.

The double stacked pockets on the vent pants are kind of dumb, you can't get much into the ones with the waterproof zips if there's anything in the ones under them. The side vents would work themselves open over the course of the day, and they are higher up so the top of them would be under my jacket and I wouldn't notice them opening as the day went on. They only open down; the Swash ones are two way and open from the bottom as well. I prefer the way the cuff opens on the vent pants, they have fabric in the space under the zipper, the swash don't and look goofy unzipped.

It's the same goretex, they will work in that regard exactly the same, I didn't notice any performance difference, just the things I mentioned above.
