I'm curious wtf is going with Terje. His two ventures right now appear to be that weird "Doubledeck" concept project and thirty $1700 USD pro models by a custom shaper with no commercial footprint? Options feel like: (A) he's having trouble finding suitors, (B) he's not willing to lower his asking price after ~30 years on top, or (C) he's just chilling and doing his own thing. Maybe some combination of the above.

I gotta imagine SOMEONE would sign him if he was willing to take a pay cut-- YES seems like a good fit given their history and basically the entire Uninc crew (I think JP Solberg did one too but his IG is private) making a big show of supporting him. Or maybe that was just performative bullshit lol.

Kinda makes one wonder what the pay scales, if there are any, may be. And like, is Terje independently wealthy? Is anyone (other than the CEOs of the brand management corps)?

Terje’s post announcing the drop seems more like C, but might be a combo with B.

he drops a bunch of niche builders, plus the Yes dudes, in his thanks for support at the end.

Old school skinny waist, 10.5 boot, and no drag? Yeah right. Maybe not in Japan powder. But then, tons of people rode specs like that for quite some time. I was surprised to see how narrow they are, though.
