Re: Salomon Snowboards
rode this weekend... it's such a great board!Vanni wrote: ↑Mon Dec 05, 2022 10:25 am great board
I have one, now it's only an early season board, but I rode it as my main board for two season.
Now I prefer to ride boards with more open sidecut (8 mt and more, the 151 I have it's like 7.5mt), but it's a great board, easy to ride and not demanding.
too bad for the tight sidecut...
Re: Salomon Snowboards
Found a new Wolle fish for $350 so pulled the trigger. Should be able to ride it next week. Will report back but stoked on this board. Got the 157 and I like the taper, sidecut, WW, we will see about the flex.

The Taka EP looks interesting. Def gonna try a Dialogue Boa next year, hope they got it right this time.

Re: Salomon Snowboards
really like the look of the new Taka shape, but not into the flat-rocker profile for that style board.

Re: Salomon Snowboards
I know we have some Super 8 guys here. Convince me (or not) that it would make a great 1-board quiver for vacation riding. I can get killer deals on either the regular or Pro models right now.
Re: Salomon Snowboards
Depends on you for me super 8 it's just enough I need for my style of riding, triyng to lay down god turns, have fun in powder, a little bit of side hits, that's it, but I choose it just a little bit longer, just a little, usually for AM board I stay beetwen 56 and 58, I choose the super 8 160 and feels perfect for me.
Re: Salomon Snowboards
Super 8 is a great deck. When my bags didn't make it with me on my trip to Taos, that was what I grabbed (my other choices were Flight Attendant, some jones boards, and some never summers) - def daily driver category. I'd love to take out a Super 8 Pro

Great to hear. Yeah, I want something in that daily driver realm that can carve, pop, and still float if I get some pow on a trip. Sounds like the Super 8 is right there.

Re: Salomon Snowboards
I'd lean towards the Pro. At 5'8" 155 lbs I had the 154 back in 2018 or '19 and while I loved the shape I wanted more snap. Now that they make the pro I'm always thinking about picking one up. I would debate between the 154 and 157 Pro for myself, I don't feel it needs to be sized down like they recommend.eleveneightnate wrote: ↑Wed Nov 01, 2023 3:12 pmMcK21 wrote: ↑Wed Nov 01, 2023 2:54 pm Depends on you for me super 8 it's just enough I need for my style of riding, triyng to lay down god turns, have fun in powder, a little bit of side hits, that's it, but I choose it just a little bit longer, just a little, usually for AM board I stay beetwen 56 and 58, I choose the super 8 160 and feels perfect for me.Great to hear. My brother is 5'11", 170 lbs give or take and he finds his 2019 157 on the softer side, but he still loves it. Very versatile board for him.
