Re: BINDINGS
Thanks fellas! Eyeing the Jones Orions for a more playful ride. I like to do lots of butters and slashes, so I don't want to be too locked in laterally which I think the hanger 3 and Orion highback help with.
Re: BINDINGS
I picked up a set of Genesis EST cheap, they had old mission straps so I put a spare set of leather Malavita straps on there and wanged them on my Skeleton Key instead of my Cartels. Holy shit they feel great!

Re: BINDINGS
Got a pair of medium Select Pros on the way (the new ones with hanger 3). Stoked to try them out!kimchi wrote: ↑Sun Dec 18, 2022 5:59 pmMedium for Acerra 10.5s. I have Tacticals size 10, and am smack dab in middle of size run. Can't speak to DCs but if profile's somewhat comparable, think medium should be fine.eleveneightnate wrote: ↑Sun Dec 18, 2022 8:04 am Think I’m finally gonna try some NOWs or Jones’, just too curious at this point about all the hype. Just a quick double check: medium hanger 3s for adidas Acerras 10.5s and DC Transcend 10s? Sounds like large might be too big.
Edit: Know you clarified, but just in case anyone else sees this, this only holds true for Hanger 3. For Hanger 2.0 I think you're right on the cusp and I'd probably go large.
Side note: has anyone tried these Jones straps? They look better than the Now ones and are super cheap.

Re: BINDINGS
@eleveneightnate much better than NOW straps. Got them on Mercuries and primary reason I bought those over getting another set of NOW Drives. Haven’t own a NOW since the 2019 model year but their straps were pathetic (although getting better). I used to replace them with Burton Hammockstraps… the Burton straps are better than Jones, but no longer a big enough upgrade that I go through the trouble.

Re: BINDINGS
Awesome, thanks for the info. I love the Auxtech straps on my Romes, so I'll probably snag those toe straps for my Select Pros.kimchi wrote: ↑Wed Dec 21, 2022 9:03 am @eleveneightnate much better than NOW straps. Re: BINDINGS
I guess they’re all part of the same family, but weird to see Jones calling that toe strap Auxtech, but they don’t look anything like Rome’s Auxtech.eleveneightnate wrote: ↑Wed Dec 21, 2022 8:47 amGot a pair of medium Select Pros on the way (the new ones with hanger 3). Re: BINDINGS
Yeah, there seems to be varying degrees of it. My Bataleons also have "Auxtech" straps that look nothing like Rome's, but they still stretch and expand when tightening down in a similar fashion.coleslawed wrote: ↑Wed Dec 21, 2022 9:14 am I guess they’re all part of the same family, but weird to see Jones calling that toe strap Auxtech, but they don’t look anything like Rome’s Auxtech.

Re: BINDINGS
@kimchi do you get any of the foot pain the guy from TGR complains about with adidas boots and Now/Jones bindings? He says there's "really bad arch and forefoot pain from the plastic swaybar under the footbed's toe side of Now/Jones bindings and the boost soles being so soft."
Obviously like was said before, grain of salt with online reviewers. But still kinda curious.

Re: BINDINGS
Can't remember having any issues riding Adidas boost sole boots with Now Drives. Can report after the holidays.
