Been on my radar for a couple years now. Looks too directional for me as an everyday driver. Short tail and minimal tail kick. But shape looks fun to rip cord and pow. I've been thinking about easing into it with the 164 split.

Heard/seen anything about that longer one with the concave base?
I know a bit about the wood top one he posted himself testing recently (certainly not a short/fat) but 🤐

Hadn't seen this one, but he just shared the story. Silhouette is very much a spenser DD, but wonder what it is/specs

I guess that's the one in the story above ^

Camber, wide, small radius.

Yeah, in a similar ballpark aesthetic-wise. The nose shape reminds me most of fullbag blunt & hammerhead

Looks like it's called the Biru.

He also posted a clip with the name of the board I knew about, so now I can post it 😜 it's called the starliner.

It has a lot of the vibe that you get from a Japanese board, but lets someone 200+ pounds fully lay into it. That long edge holds in shitty conditions too (if you keep ‘em sharp at least) but the flex and rise make it easy to deal with so I can comfortably ride it all day. I’m trying to stay on the ground so for me that’s a daily driver. I’d imagine it could find at least a place in the quiver.

Sure it's just one resort, but pretty sweet for Stranda!

@unsuspected posted this in another thread but i didnt want the discussion to get lost over there

Stranda 23/24
https://issuu.com/strandasnowboards/doc ... lczevoLZI

couple thoughts, glad the cheater is staying the same because i just got one and have a single day on it (lol), would be bummed to find out it was somehow way better next year. i know at some point i argued there is no longboard equivalent in snowboards, but the cheater feels like a real nice glider to me. i definitely want to work with it more as there were some points i was basically just hanging on - not a board problem i just need to learn to use it better. goes edge to edge really well and would be way more manageable in crowds than i'd assumed, but i'd rather be on the shorty on crowded days. between the two i see all other boards getting dusty.

not sure the new models appeal to me personally but they look great and like they would be popular. new shorty topsheet is nice

2024 shorties are done. Slim chance I'll have mine before MT, but we'll see!
