Yes and no. I have a Volcom Brighton pullover and it's not that difficult to get in and out of with the large side zipper. I find the kangaroo pouch very convenient.
Yes, the big kangaroo pouch is the reason I run an anaorak most of the time. My hands get super hot, it so much easier to stuff my gloves in the pouch when waiting in lift lines. XL kincos take up a lot of space, on my guide jacket one glove will barely fit in each pocket. The only time I have an issue getting in and out is when I forget to unzip the ziptech connected to my pants.

I've never liked wearing anoraks in the first place. When I switched over to bibs I hated wearing them even more.

Some of the techoraks have weird fashion fits. I used to love the old roomy cotton anoraks with furry hoods on winter ski trips in -20c and blizzards, that and a wool sweater under. Dont see that setup working too well going down the slopes, for vision, windchill, or snow piling up.

Anorak is a cool word. But for me that's about where the benefits end.

If I were to gear up in an Airblaster Ninja suit, bibs and an anorak, there will be a 100% chance of shitting being an embarrassing disaster.
