Today got cut short because of lightning risk at Mammoth. They stopped all lifts for a bit, and I was stuck on the backside. Fortunately, they got some lifts spinning again during a weather window, and was able to make my way back to the lodge my gf was at.
Asked ski patrol if we had time for another lap (most lower elevation lifts were running), but they said they were getting ready for more weather rolling in So we preferred to stop for the day.
Unfortunately, the forecast doesn't really say anything about new snow, so tomorrow might just be an ice day.

Caught maybe 100 ft of late season vert at Boreal, which is done for the season. Walked up, snow was garbage, was on a splitboard so feel on hard snow was super wonky, caught maybe one semi-proper turn, and mountain ops kicked me out after 5 minutes.
Fucking epic. I love snowboarding.
Also took my daughter out for the first time at a local trailhead on the Burton Riglet. She slid along on her butt for 2 ft and wanted to bail after 30 minutes, but she said she had fun. Literal baby steps.
Pulled the oldest kid from school yesterday and day tripped to Marmot Basin for some spring slush laps. Coverage was really good for this late in the year and I don’t think there was more than 50 ppl on hill. Anyways that’s a wrap on the season for me.
yesterday was probably my last day of the season, we toured up to Camp Muir on Mt Rainier and it was beautiful but a horrible slog. Got some decent turns on the way down though.
