I've actually used them a few times yet so I know that I need to practice more. But at home I don’t have problem but on the snow…

Has anyone had this problem?

Any tips?

Thank you!!
Solution to the difficulty in engaging the second click on the EST Step-Ons:
I spoke with Burton Europe, and they will sent me two new modified heel cleats. They didn't ask me for anything. But if they have modified cleats, I understand this happens frequently…

@jsil the cleats sit 2mm lower
Thanks. I did get some from Burton but haven't had a chance to try yet. I've been slammed with work.

I think these different sized cleats should come in the box with the boot. Seems ridiculous.

I have examined the system at home and I really don't find any serious design problems…
I think this is an unforeseen problem and they didn't count on it, so now they're solving it on the fly...

That's actually not correct. There have been issues with certain sizes (I believe in woman's moreso than men's) where this was a problem. They have had the different sized cleats, both taller and lower, for more than a few seasons now (maybe since the beginning?). They also have thicker reflex pads. The issue is you have to know about them and request them so there are likely lots of people with issues that have no idea that theres a possible fix.

I honestly think this is the biggest issue with Step On. Some people experience that it is "sloppy" which is likely fixable with these different cleats. That is why they should just provide them in the box with boots.

Ahh! Ok ok…
So they should include them and even reference them in their tutorials. Many people will have a bad experience if the solution is hidden...

Totally agree. Just throw it into the box with instructions of what it is for.

I only personally know a couple of people who had this "sloppy fit" issue and they both had great success with the higher cleat.

I asked about these spare parts because of lots of movement, even offered to buy them. Burton refused. Said I could buy some from the website, but they turned out to be the same size, total waste. I don't think this is a thing anymore.

How nice when you receive a gift in your mailbox. The cleats 2mm lower.
