Yes, those are G3 skins. Sucks to say, but I would just toss em. I have some Montana skins that are brand new, never trimmed that I was gonna put up for sale as I didn’t end up getting the deck I had planned them for.

What length deck do you have?

If you have glue issues, and the fortitude, reglue them with the Black Diamond reglue package. Apparently works really well.

Please do not chuck that much still-usable plastic into landfill just because 🙏
I've stripped glue on some skins before (for my diy pow surf ascent skis), but never applied new glue.

I'll check youtube for tutorials. Its a viable option.

I tried this and was not successful. YMMV. I know people who have has success, but it's not the easiest thing to do.

Ack… These "Vans Verse Iguchi Range Edition" don't seem to be easily available anywhere I have access to (JA and EU).
I think the lasting changed for the Infuse when they updated the boot last year. Should have happened 1 year earlier for the Staxwoods and 1 year before that for the Verse iirc.
I am keeping an eye on the Verse Range Edition as well and seems like they are about to come in for EU. They come up in the search results on the vans website for me, which wasn't the case 1 or 2 weeks ago. No sizes available for ordering yet, but should work in a couple of days.

I got to ride my Hometown Hero split today, first time on a split since I usually use Drifts. Transitions suck! The Drifts are so easy and I'll keep them around since they have their place but yeah the split is probably a better tool all around.

You never know what you’re missing until you know, damn have I been missing out. The boots are incredible, the lengthened stride is so much more than I thought it would be, like I didn’t fully comprehend how impactful it is until I had it.

I’m super stoked Vans came out with these because 32 and Burton boots don’t work for my feet at all and these Vans fit super well. I got custom footbeds made and then just rode them with no fitting. Probably after a few more tours I’ll go back to the shop and get a bit of fitting done.

Which ever brand of boots work for your feet, if you haven’t tried split specific boots, I highly recommend it.

This is legitimately the most impactful piece of new tech in any part of my snowboarding kit, resort or backcountry, that I can say I’ve added in at least 10 years easily.

Super glad I got these and didn’t try to go hardboot.

What is the weight on these babies? I have a 1st gen (Blake Paul) pair of Verses that is reaching EOL. Loved almost everything about them (including the fit - got narrow feet) except that they are heavy (and the liner power strap is fiddly).

I don"t think they are crazy heavy. Their weight hasn't been noticeable to me, so I don't pay attention.

I've got narrow feet, after I rode them a few times I did go to my local boot fitter to get them dialed in, but honestly I have to do that with every boot I own, no matter who makes it.

No more power strap. These are double BOA.

They have always been double BOA. But at least the first couple of generations also had a velco-strap at the top of the liner. Is that gone?

I quite liked it (helps with my skinny calves) even though it added to the small ordeal of getting these boots on and off: wiggle foot into the boot (harder than other boots because the tongue does not open up as much), tighten liner, thread liner power strap and tighten, BOA 1, BOA 2, zip the gaiter, adjust BOA (after the tension has evenly distributed through the cables)...
Not a big deal at all but takes way longer than with any other boot I have ever had.

No velcro strap across the front of the boot.

I also own both. If you can only have one, Split >>>> Drifts, unless you exclusively plan on exclusively riding very mellow approaches. You just have more ascent versatility on a split. More float, better sidehilling performance. But if you have a very mellow objective and are planning quick yoyo laps, Drifts definitely fill a nice niche.

Something like the Union Rovers might be a little more versatile since they have metal edges and are narrower, but that comes at a significant weight penalty and they're significantly longer. I briefly owned both and sent the Rovers back to stick with the Drifts.
