Re: The boot thread
"Increased Room in Toebox" is music to my ears. I wonder how the inner liner closes or if it has an ankle harness ala Burton.

Re: The boot thread
No sure how I feel about that harness around the liner, thin ropes may cause additional wear.
Re: The boot thread
The union boot is too stiff for my liking (and too ugly to be fair, haha) but I like how the liner harness appears to pull on that heel thing. It looks like it probably has great hold.

catalog seems to saysstiffness 7 but i heard that its much stiffer
Re: The boot thread
I like the idea that the shell is made out of pebax. They do say it maintains flex over the products lifecycle - I hope this means it actually holds up longer than other softboots.

Reached out to Ride regarding this concern, and their reply was that it's normal:jclinares wrote: Mon Mar 10, 2025 10:47 am One of the things that I'm worried about, though, is that the bindings seem to be rubbing exactly against a part of the lacing system that holds some of the BOA cords into the shell. This is happening on both boots, on both sides of the boots. I didn't notice this until I got back home and was taking the photos for this post, but it's starting to fray the fabric along the edge, and I'm worried the lacing cords will pop out, at this rate.

I'm not entirely convinced, though. I'll be on snow again in April. If the fabric keeps fraying, I'll see if it's possible to put on a layer of Shoe Goo along that stitching, to protect the boot a bit.
