So, you have to spend $1500 a year on Burton.com to get exclusive access to... spending more money on Burton.com?
Ferrari does kind of this, if you want to buy certain models you need to own a number of other Ferrari, you've to show that you're loyal to the brand.....wich is a very Italian thing
Rolex. Coach. Etc. Etc.
Folks be buying shit they don't want and then sell it just to hit spend limits to get access to the "limited" ones they do want.
I think the difference here might be that the other brands have limited models that appreciate in price and make the loss on the rest of the buys worth it (to some people)...
While idk that B stuff has any built in YOY appreciation. I see folks trying to resale some things for ridiculous prices, but is there actually buyers or just greedy scalpers dreaming?

damn, I’m sure the price is steeper than entry but that’s pretty cool. id love a Brushie fish base on a con artist 58
Exactly this. Are they letting us put old graphics on new boards?
Totally in line with all this. I have a Sherlock that I no longer ride and it was great at the time but now with the passage of time I realize that fv was a poorly designed system compared to other concepts like c2 (Especially in changing situations where you come out of powder between rocks and enter in marble ice zone)
What I don't understand is why they didn't redesign it... they could have improved it a bit... in the end the concept has its place in the market
Are you sure nothing had changed about it on any models since its inception?
Anyway for FV lovers (if there are any anymore) its still available next year in the custom and process and equivalent womens models.
The truth is that I don't know if FV has evolved over time. I really enjoyed my Sherlock but when I changed and abandoned the idea of FV, I didn't follow its trail from then on. However, I always heard the same complaint about the edge hold. And I never heard that complaint about C2 or C2x.
Really, in my case it’s a complaint because if FV had been better, I would have come back. I personally am a defender of hybrid camber, and I don’t ride camber, but I use to ride over ice… and ice, rocks, FV and vertical inclination is not a good combination
Burton camber boards have garbage edge hold out of the wrapper too. I think it’s a function of their having the worst factory tunes of any brand. There is a video on the just ride channel where he is tuning a brand new Burton and has to make like 25 passes with the file to get the edges sharp. Flying V only makes it worse with that profile.
