Nope, full rubber outsole! Midsole is foam.

Re: The boot thread
Are Nike Kaijus really as good as some people make out? There's a mint pair for sale in my size near me and I'm tempted. I shouldn't care but they also look fucking cool. Nike and Adidas really brought some flavour when they were around.

Yeah, they’re good. Really great flex pattern and super comfortable.

Re: The boot thread
the toe box on the Kaijus didn't work for me, but they were an ideal boot for me aside from that.
Re: The boot thread
That Rift APX looks sick. Might get me to sell my Adidas backlog. They fit great but I'd rather rep an endemic company if they're equivalent.
Nidecker Altais seems to fit me decently well but little shoddy construction. Suspected Rift too soft and Kita too stiff... these might be the ticket if they break in around 7/10.
I might have to size up from Adidas 10 to a 10.5, but most my boards are wide enough to accommodate. I might just size out of my medium NOW / Jones bindings though.

Re: The boot thread
I had those Nikes, the adidas were a step up heel hold wise, having said that, I’d be skeptical buying those Nikes even if they’re mint, unless they were vacuum sealed , being a decade+ old def takes a toll on the rubber/glue

Re: The boot thread
I think you'd like them, it seems like we've always had similar feet haha. I'd say the out-of-box flex is between the Tactical and Acerra, but closer to the Acerra (granted, I never though the Acerras were that crazy stiff). Definitely stiffer than my '25 Photons, though. Hard to tell if they'll settle in at a 7/10, the upper is more "traditional" boot material compared to the overbuilt lower. But even if they break in to a 6/10 I think they'll be "that" boot for me barring something feeling off on snow. Also, the big neoprene section in the toes really makes them comfy.kimchi wrote: Fri Mar 07, 2025 8:42 pm That Rift APX looks sick. Might get me to sell my Adidas backlog. How'd you size them relatice to Adidas?eleveneightnate wrote: Sat Mar 08, 2025 7:44 pmI think you'd like them, it seems like we've always had similar feet haha. I always wished my Tacticals were a hair stiffer and Acerras are a touch stiff unless I'm bombing or just plowinv through chunder... so these sound very promising.

Re: The boot thread
10.5 in Adidas and 11 in these Nideckers, so half size up from Adidas. I maybe could’ve squeezed into 10.5s, but I’m already pushing into the end of the toe box and they lock down my ankle extremely well, so I think I’m in the right size. Time will tell how the liner packs out, though.kimchi wrote: Sun Mar 09, 2025 7:59 am How'd you size them relatice to Adidas?

I think Photons are generally considered medium-stiff, so I just did a side-by-side with an APX on one foot and a Photon on the other (only two days on those), and the Photon felt downright soft in comparison. The APXs still have some forward flex and don't feel like bricks or anything, but they feel solid and I think they'll break in perfect for me.
