or just bust out the Dremel for the toe cleats, and pop the screw for the heel cleat off the back 😂
Think we are overestimating the average consumers skill, creativity and will to void that warranty here. :)

it would not surprise me if MF rode different boot brands front and back. that is what is so amazing about him. he is willing to try anything. when I made him custom race boards in the 90’s, he rode with more angle on the back foot compared to the front.

looking forward to trying these both when it’s not -12 outside.
the StratAtlas's were pretty nice last night, first time out on a Strata baseplate in a bit, I had forgotten how much I like the lateral movement those provide. these essentially felt like a mellower version of the Ultra FC's I run on my Annex (Strata base with firmer padding + full forged carbon highbacks): a forgiving feel tip to tail, and just a touch more drive toe-heel than the standard Strata.

depending on how the AltaStrata feels, I might have to do this same swap with my other sets of these (🫣), as I think this combo would pair well on the HPS Taka where my other Strata's live, but the standard Atlas is pretty well paired with my Banker.
Stratlas or Altrata? :)

wasn't as impressed by the Atlrata, but conditions were not ideal (slush that had turned to cement), and I'm less impressed by the Evol Vessel they were on every time I take it for a spin.

Rome sent me new heelcups for my Katana's. It's a good thing as I noticed while replacing them that the other binding was half way broken as well. The new heelcups have an updated design that gets rid of the thinner areas of metal with a solid piece.

Would like to try the Ultrata(Ultra base/Strata hiback) for a softer binding and the Fatlas(Falcor base/Atlas hiback) for a stiffer binding or maybe even Ulas(Ultra base/Atlas hiback)
This is what happens when my ADD kicks in.

I got the Ultlas Pro. Not stiffer than Ultratas, just has a little more wing to it, lateral side.
