The Official Korua Shapes Thread
Re: The Official Korua Shapes Thread
Fair enough. I guess I just mean I'm taking it as an isolated incident
while it was definitely unnecessarily long, I certainly don't think they're shady or anything.

I gave the Bullet Train a few laps today. It’s a really nice board.

Anyone has made a return to korua.com from the us. Care to comment on the whole import duties etc? Saw that the address is in canada for the return shipment.

I've never had to pay extra fees on top of shipping cost when sending to Canada from the US. I've also never had to pay import duties on a snowboard (or anything for that matter), but I don't know the fine details, especially for other countriesprotectyaneck wrote: Sat Feb 08, 2025 4:46 pm Anyone has made a return to korua.com from the us. Anyway, if it it's up to you to ship it back (as in, they aren't giving you a return shipping label), definitely use Pirateship to save $$

Think I'm selling my updated transition finder 57… genuinely one of my favorite boards that has always been super fun all around, and it definitely has its own personality not "replaced" by anything else I have, just don't know when I would choose it anymore now that I finally have a cadet.

Re: The Official Korua Shapes Thread
thank you spencer. Ended sending it back after much confusion and want to get the right board. What are your thoughts? Looking for a quiver killer but surf inspiredishhh, just got back from japan and unfortunatly could not demo the gentemstick xy that i was really after. Purchased it through tactics and also sent it back lol i kind of dont want to have a quiver board and all this mumbo jumbo of the xy beign more front foot geared had me like iffy.. So ended up set on purchasing a korua either otto, or transition finder but now again confused on the whole plus or regular. Next week im headed to colorado and theres a store nearby that has some options. Looking for a good carver and going fast board. Looked like the plus is good at both but all this uneven snow thing has me thinking of the regular.

Re: classic or plus, it sounds like the obvious choice for you is classic. You can ride a plus whenever you want, but general consensus seems to be they like more pristine conditions.
If you're set on korua and want a board that rips the whole mountain & is freestyle friendly, but can also feel surfy/slashy, it would be hard to argue against the updated transition finder.

I don't have really a lot to add to the conversation, but I finally had a chance to demo some Koruas. Really liked the Pencil 164 for cruising on the groomers and will probably get that one day. I liked it more than the TF (157 iirc), but I would have liked to have stiffer binding for the TF.
