Ah, they didn't have it on the last pic I saw. Burton's doubletake would be great with this system 🤣. Saw Victor kicking extra hard into the toestrap to put them on, guess it needs some practice.

I completely forgot about the K2 Auto system from like 2010. I had a few pairs of them:

there is nothing from that video convincing me FASE is a noticeable improvement in strapping in... though perhaps that person is a first time user of it, but still.

my split boarding partner loves his stepons, sidehilling and overall uphill experience is an improvement

only qualms is there's no splitboard step on boot, meaning no step on boot currently exists that supports semiautomatic crampons

Won't the semi heel crampon thing interfere with the step-on heel anyways?

Yes, yes it will..

Any adjustment on ankle strap placement on the fase bindings, or data on the different version? Asking because I usually have issues with low and forward strap placement. Bataleon/Rome seems to sit higher. Guessing straps is something you just can't swap out on these.
Looks like the Rome versions keep their hinge adjuster things:

this feature is up to the brands, yes, rome has it’s standard ankle height adjustment and on the bataleon the rider has a kinked connector or straight (so 3 positions on the inside). jones and 32 went for no adjustment (for those who prefer the ‘plug in play’ and dislike too many choices with binding setup).

i spoke to a x pro (turned coach) recently and asked how he sets up his union binding. he said he didn’t know as he never adjusts his bindings after getting them. it’s like riders who by default place there binding on the references position on a new board.

i know i’ll get shit from some people for this. this is user error, which you will get with step-ons, supermatics and regular 2 strap bindings. the rider did not have the toe strap set correctly before entering the bindings on snow.
