I wonder if any brand has studied or experimented with an adaptable binding that could approach symmetry at the pressure points. I suppose that would be more important than the size adjustment at the heel or the toes…

I took the photo in this one because it is the narrowest one I have…
The "gas pedal" as well as foam/plastic under the heel are also generating pressure on the board edge.

Yes, but because of the pressure of the foot. The straps have to be generating the greatest pressure through the rigid parts, which is where they are attached. Mainly in EST
C2 & purepop/vans infuse/skate tech/ AK …

there are, no bad snow

Flux bindings let you move both toe and heel of the footpad. Helps a bit when you can't adjust the heel cup. Their discs are good as they allow a lot of adjustability AND have measurements for each position. Nice and easy. They also happen to fit my size 10.5 better than any other brand I've tried. Just wish they had a little more cushion.

That's the only thing holding me back from Flux, and it's a biggie.

Some 2022 John Jackson XFs popped up cheap locally, and the lack of cushioning kept me from pulling the trigger. Haven't ridden a Flux in 15+ years and when I last handled a pair before they pulled outta the US, the base tray looked exactly the same as I remembered it.

I kinda regret selling my Flux SR, they were really nice bindings and I really enjoyed the cork footbeds not getting packed with snow.

"Boost FootOn

The footbed has a cushion height that is 4mm higher than the previous FootOn. It prevents drag when turning, improves response when turning, and absorbs small vibrations. Of course, the surface is made of material that prevents snow from sticking."

They updated the footbed, so curious about that. Just ordered a pair of SR, never tried Flux before. I'm an Union guy, have tried others like Bent Metal, had Burtons maybe 15 years ago ..

We will see 🏂🤘

Very disappointed with disks, they made new disks, because those are first Union bindings not adjustable heel-to-toe, and did not managed to make channel disks correctly.

But still want those, guy called orange plastic, which will be in contact with board, rubbery, as I expected it to be. :)

BTW, forward lean adjustment can be another disappointment. :)

Watching him open those paper envelopes was painful.

Unions made their box and packaging look just like burtons...

That's kinda odd. No?
