I just tried to explain "lava lamp amoeba rainbow splooge" to my wife, and she is just not getting it. Even though we already have two kids, I just don't see this relationship working out.

I totally agree. US has my favourite (non) graphics at the moment. It’s the halfway house between stark minimalism and actual graphics I can’t handle. I am a particular case though, I will admit.
