I bring my ride backpack on the plane, maybe with outerwear and the regular travel stuff, and my boots in a taxfree bag. Then a wheelie gig and maybe duffel depending. Just bought a roller duffel. Overfilled local trains in Jp is always fun with that setup.

Im also going to JP this season for the first time ever.
Thinking board, binding and riding gear in the board bag, regular clothes in hard suitcase, boots and helmet in the carry on and travel essentials in a small backpack.
Probably overthinking it as usual.

I’m in a 9 Infuse, I’ll check that out. I think my brother in law has that exact bag so maybe I can run a test fit before buying.

Only boots fits great but adding a helmet is real life Tetris. Acerras are less bulky that Infuses and POC helmet pretty low volume for the size.
Db has a 45l boot backpack but that's too big for carry on. I like to play by the rules and think I prefer a roller over backpack but might get one depending on how the roller performs and if a helmet fits better.

If your board bag is large enough, unmount your bindings and strap your boots onto the bindings and keep them w/ your board bag. You can also cram a few pairs of socks into your boots to save space if you're limited.

I've got three coming up, Baldface Jan 4th, Baldface Feb 2nd and then Stellar Heli Feb 22nd... With maybe a quick weekend trip to Brundage with the old homies as well... The basically no cost flying benefit from the wife's job is glorious.
