After having the 54, 57, and 57W, I just couldn’t find the right fit. Liked all of them enough but not enough to keep. Great deck just not for me

I had a 57, felt too big for me at 160lbs size 9. Ordered the 54 this year. Hoping it’s not too narrow. We’ll see how she goes

That’s ultimately why I got rid of my 154, size 9 infuse and the 248 waist just felt weird after riding so many 258-260ish boards. I will say I found the flex of the 54 way more enjoyable than the 57s for all around riding (but I do like “medium” flex boards most).

I’m running the same boots. At what waist width do you feel the board is too narrow?

Anything below 252mm-ish (lol) but that’s probably more of a mental block than anything else

I’m also a 9/9.5 and have had the infuse in the past. I really don’t like boards under 25.2 with my sweet spot in the 25.4 to 26 range. Part of it is despite the infuse being a great boot in many respects it is nonetheless big and clunky and has a big footprint as compared to most modern boots. I had a nitro t1 which was 24.8 and was fine on it as long ad I was on lower profile boots and didn’t really turn it over and euro carve it.

Edit: it was a T3 not a T1 and the other thing that probably saved it was that it had like a 9 or 9.2 sidecut radius so despite being narrow it was really stable and not twitchy.

I don't think I ride much anything below a 258 these days. typically an 8.5 or 9 boot depending.

On an occasion I'll break out a "normal" ww board, and they feel (for lack of a better way to say it) too 'edgy' to me. I suppose some folks would say it's 'quick edge to edge', but for me they just feel like the edge is always grabbing at the snow even when riding flat. I prefer to have more board to lay into, really put more load towards my turns and more float.

Fan of the Mystery DT of the lot, but way too steep $$ wise for me, personally. Plus, have more than enough decks with that colorful/tie-dye style base already, anyway .

I had a 158 Mystery back in the day that I bought from the rep for cheap, it was the last year they were making them. Camber and kind of shaped like todays custom. Maybe the newer ones are better made or stiffer but I didn't like it. The thing weighed nothing. It was super noticeable how much lighter it was on the lift and swing weight wise riding. However to make it that light the core was so thin that it felt like riding a piece of cardboard down the hill. It had hardly any pop and torsionally a piece of cardboard. In any kind of chunder it was too flimsy to power through and it was so light you would just get bounced around. I think there is a point where the weight of a board actually helps how it rides. The base material was also super thin. You would have to be super careful waxing it because the bases would bubble and separate really easily.

I'm not sure if anyone has any other mystery thoughts or experience on newer versions but there is no way I would pay anywhere close to list price for anything mystery. Maybe we are not who they are intended to be marketed to anyway though.

Had the mystery 152 con artist (traded for it). I’d agree that it’s absurdly light which feels a little strange in the air. Felt good on snow though, didn’t get to ride it on anything besides hardpack and then spring slush. Pop felt fine. Should’ve went for the 158 which I prefer.

But yeah, I would never pay full price for anything snowboard related, mystery or not lol

I have a 50 Skeleton Key XX. Like Flanders, it feels like I'm wearing nothing at all on the chair. The pop is nonexistent on it, and they went a little too hard on stiffness for my taste. But man, that methlon base FLIES!

Also rode a 52 Mystery Con Artist. Loved how lightweight it was, and didn't feel any difference on snow pop wise compared to my OG 52.

Am less excited about weight on the mysteries, and more interested because of sizes. A 49 juice wagon and 46 con artist are super appealing, but not really worth it IMO even at 50% off.

I just want to see Burton get into more progressive side cuts, the con artist was my favorite board forever until I realized that if I try to straight line it I might die..
