There might be the occasional day where I miss it, but I think I should be okay. I'm not gonna lie, it is nice, but I couldn't justify going in $800-1000 to be able to have 3 sets of goggle and all the extra tints of lenses I desire.

Re: A Thread For Goggles
Totally get that. I wanted an extra lens for these Syncs but they're $100... ended up snagging a whole other pair of Syncs on sale for $120 and got two lenses instead. Anon is crazy expensive.
Re: A Thread For Goggles
Also now that everyone has magnetic lenses, Anon doesn't quite have that exclusive allure that it did hold for quite a few seasons.eleveneightnate wrote: ↑Thu Dec 05, 2024 9:23 amThink you'll miss MFI? This is my first season trying it out (snagged some Syncs) and I'm not sure if it'll be as life-changing as people make it out to be.pow_hnd wrote: ↑Thu Dec 05, 2024 9:17 amProbably not. I have M2s and they are no longer making lenses for them. I'd need to go all in again and even with a pro-form that is still much more that what this cost me. And to be honest, I like the lens color/tint selection more with Dang. For what ever stupid fucking reason Anon quit making yellow lenses and has never made clear lenses. Those are key on some days.
Plus, even though yes, Burton is rider owned, it felt good to support a local small rider owned company and Beresford did hook it up, so all this was less than what two pairs of Anons would have cost. Then I would have had to gotten all the extra lenses on top of that, which retail at $130, so even on pro-form, still more than what it cost from Dang.
Everyone else has caught up.

Re: A Thread For Goggles
i've replaced one lens for my m3's and have had the same frames for 6 seasons, foam is falling off everywhere. i love the shape and how they fit, but i probably need to move on from anon myself after rocking them since the realms came out many moons ago.eleveneightnate wrote: ↑Thu Dec 05, 2024 9:31 amTotally get that. A bit surprising that the foam is going after 6 years. You put them away wet?YukonCornelius wrote: ↑Thu Dec 05, 2024 9:56 ami've replaced one lens for my m3's and have had the same frames for 6 seasons, foam is falling off everywhere. i love the shape and how they fit, but i probably need to move on from anon myself after rocking them since the realms came out many moons ago.eleveneightnate wrote: ↑Thu Dec 05, 2024 9:31 amTotally get that. My crowbars frames are probably 15 years old and going strong.

i try to be diligent about drying them out but i am definitely hard on my gear in general. my crowbars were my favorites forever, such a great goggle, never ever fogged.C.Fuzzy wrote: ↑Thu Dec 05, 2024 10:38 amA bit surprising that the foam is going after 6 years. they still work fine, but probably time to replace them at this point.

Yeah, I wish I could’ve stocked up on M3 night lenses years ago. I use it most of the time to be honest. Haven’t been able to find new ones in a LONG time.
I don’t use the MFI masks anymore, but the MFI base layers I like. I have a thin AK one and a polartec AK one (both hooded) that I really like.

I had the first day on my Smith Squad mags last week, they were great and have better peripheral views than the IO mag xl I have been using for years.

Re: A Thread For Goggles
i've switched to only really taking advantage of MFI on super cold/snowy days. got a set of the OG Dang goggles last year, but am considering either their magnet lens or the Ashbury A12's for everyday replacements.

I've got a full second set of Sync's I should probably move, ostensibly have them for splitboarding, but don't actually use my MFI setup when I get out.eleveneightnate wrote: ↑Thu Dec 05, 2024 9:31 amTotally get that.
