I’ve been on the Verse Range and regular Verse for the last few seasons. The liners don’t pack out too much. I use Remind Medics. I find that the Range fits me true to size at 9.5, but the regular Verse is more comfortable in a 10.

It feels like both boots would be great if I heat molded them with double toe caps. I need to wait for the shop I trust to get them in stock.

You guys must have tree stumps for feet. I bought a pair of Vans two years ago and even after custom insoles and a shit load of bootfitting there was nothing I could do to solve my heel lift and general swimming around in them.

I like them a ton. Flex is perfect for me, and feels a bit more even across the shell. I’d been using Burton boots and Nike, prior.

The Range is super rad, not just for the intended purpose of splitting, but because the cuff accommodates bigger calves without losing much lateral/medial flex. I put in the stiffeners on the left side because I usually run posi/posi. They’re definitely on the heavier side as you alluded to, but I don’t mind the tradeoff in weight for the right fit and support. Standard version of the Verse does feel stiffer than the Range, to me. The shell just has fewer places to flex. They’re great on a charger day.

And double BOA is where it’s at. Haven’t had one fail yet.

Watch out for the zips on the Hell Bound. It zipped right off in my hand the first time I tried it. It looked like there were no stoppers at the top of the zip. I returned them for a refund and I can only hope it was just a bad batch and they’re not all like that.

*giggity*

But also had a similar issue on the K2 TT. The zipper wasn't zipped properly, so it came undone from the bottom. Luckily I was able to take it apart and line it up myself though.

Moving into a new fresh set of boots this season. Copied all the boot fitting foam from my last pair and just moved my insoles over, but there is always the initial pack out to deal with, so got a new couple of set of shims from Tognar for the fine tuning.

Old set of boots are going to be the Splitboard boots.

This just made me add the Verse to my list of boots to try. I tried the Infuse last year, but didn't like the fit. But I've had good fits with Burton boots before, so if the Verse have a similar fit, they might be the kind of boot I'm looking for.

FWIW, I was using Driver Xs and SLXs before switching to Vans. I do swap insoles and have definitely done some boot fitting in the past, but not to the same degree as others on EZ. I literally dropped Remind Medics in my Vans and they were comfy immediately. Didn’t have to heat mold, either. I’m just one of the lucky ones.

The Verse are so much better to get a foot in, the Infuse was such a bother with too much going on that I wanted to hate them straight away.
