Can anybody speak to the size difference between a Volcom Guch Pant in small vs medium? I ordered some mediums on sale and I'm absolutely swimming in them lol. The legs would be fine, but they're so loose at the waist that it bunches up like crazy with a belt. So now I'm looking at passing these on and trying to find some smalls. I'm 5'8" 150-ish lbs for reference, size 31 or 32 pants depending on brand. Not thicc but I have *some* shape to my ass. For reference the medium Volcom Rain bibs I've got are fine, no way I'd want small in those.

Depends on your preference I guess. Did you try them on with boots and jacket? They're always going to feel bigger at home than they do on snow, unless you fully kit up. I would try them with layers as well.

I'm basically one standard human size larger than you, and I like a baggy large. If I were your size, I think a baggy medium would be my preference. I also wear a 32 pant.

By casual standards with no layers or boots, I can feel the same way in a medium as you do, and larges definitely feel big. That all changes completely with full kit on.

My model reference is the L pant. I think the guch uses the same fit on paper (and the rain), but they seem like they hang differently, and could feel more baggy.

@Spenser It's 100% just the waist. I'm sitting here with them on with my layers underneath and the amount of bunching I get when I belt them up just bugs me too much. But yeah, I'm happy with the cut otherwise, I like the bagginess of the legs just fine.

I tried a pair of the L pants in XL on the hunt for a more baggy fit, but the overall fit/hang was weird, and I recall the waist bunching like that.

That’s what I like about the Longo pants. I can get a baggy leg that isn’t flared without going up multiple sizes and having way too much around the waist. I think they have a few pants in that cut now but maybe you need the Guch for split functionality.

I've been looking at the stone stretch pants for that fit, but prefer non-stretch. Looks like they came out with a dua pant this year, which has the baggy cut.

I would have already gone with the longo, but not into the big elastic. I do really like the small cinch cord on the stone, though.

If another 50% deal comes up this fall, I might pick up a whole kit. I really like the new chestnut color.

How in the hell is the '25 Guide jacket $830 now? It was $720 last year, which was already outrageous.

I was pretty shocked at their prices as well. I got a guide jacket 2 years ago and tbh the material isn’t as bomber as I’d hoped even for the sale price I paid. I might be done with high end Volcom for awhile.

just left the Patagonia store to get a goretex rain shell repaired. They said it wasn't fixable so said to look around the store if there was something Id want to swap it for, otherwise they'd credit me the original price... this was a jacket I bought in 2013 fwiw
