At that price if they had an 8.5/medium combo I would have been sorely tempted too.eleveneightnate wrote: ↑Thu Aug 22, 2024 3:02 pm Update on those Step-On bindings and Photons i posted in the deals thread:
Photons look and feel new, the soles are completely new and unworn. For $92, what a fuckin steal. Side note: the 11 wides feel amazing, why didn't I try Burton wides before?!
Bindings had some scuffs on them that came off easy with a magic eraser and look 95% new now. No real wear on the footbeds or any of the crucial components. They came with both sets of hardware and the original box. At $60 per pair, also a fucking steal.
Stoked to try them out, I've always resisted because of the price but now I can hate it and sell everything for a profit.
Check out my new...

I had already picked up some to try over summer, but I had got the swath so I got down on that Photons deal. I do not plan to become a step on guy. Expect it to feel goofy But I could see it being convenient for tow rope laps.eleveneightnate wrote: ↑Thu Aug 22, 2024 5:01 pmYeah, pretty hard to pass up!scrub wrote: ↑Thu Aug 22, 2024 4:37 pmAt that price if they had an 8.5/medium combo I would have been sorely tempted too.eleveneightnate wrote: ↑Thu Aug 22, 2024 3:02 pm Update on those Step-On bindings and Photons i posted in the deals thread:

Do these 11 boots feel like a normal burton 11. I noticed the step ons boots Ive tried feel very small compared to the regular boots.eleveneightnate wrote: ↑Thu Aug 22, 2024 3:02 pm Update on those Step-On bindings and Photons i posted in the deals thread:

Re: Check out my new...
I snagged the wides, so they feel great in the toes. Noticeably more room up front than my regular 11 Imperials, while still feeling the same in the heels. I've heard the non-wide step-on boots have felt a little cramped in the toes but Burton claims to have fixed the issue in 2024.nitro909 wrote: ↑Fri Aug 23, 2024 9:51 amDo these 11 boots feel like a normal burton 11. Cool, good to know. I fit 11 in Burtons, but tried the step ons and even the 12s felt more cramped than my normal boot.eleveneightnate wrote: ↑Fri Aug 23, 2024 10:32 amI snagged the wides, so they feel great in the toes. Re: Check out my new...
Definitely go wide! They're not overly wide like Ride or K2 wides. They basically feel the same as regular Burtons from the arch back and more like an adidas in the forefoot.nitro909 wrote: ↑Fri Aug 23, 2024 11:06 amCool, good to know. Re: Check out my new...
At the beginning I was skeptical about stepon, now I really like it, to ride on slopes and freeride are really responsive, they loose something against the normal bindings only when you have to butter, it's doable but I prefer doing it with normal bindings, otherwise I really love it, not a game changer, but I think they improve my riding in some ways.
The annoying part is to learn the movements in and out the bindings, at the very beginning not that easy or fast, but to me it toke little bit more than a couple days.

On a Burton kick right now. Figured I'd snag this thing since they aren't making them any more and the 158s are getting harder to find. Now, do I ride it or just let it sit in the plastic?
Side note: I forgot how damn heavy Burton decks are.
