I hear ya. Having said that, even though I don't ride it that often, I'm not giving up my Dart... :D

Do it! I actually just mounted up and carpet-boarded my brand new just out of the wrapper Covert tonight. My wife says that I have issues, but I regret nothing...

I got the Covert from these guys: https://www.gearwest.com/products/unite ... vert-split

But I spent the discount on having them add the Phantom treatment (hat tip to @pow_hnd)

Because I'm like a little kid with a new toy, I took a few laps on this guy in tits deep moguls at Killington. You guys from the east know the drill over there in the spring. The Spark Arc Pro bindings are new to me also, they're so light it's unreal. They're a little flexier than what I'm used to, but I like them a lot. I may swap the ankle straps for something more responsive, time will tell. The whole setup is crazy light, so I'm hoping that will be a big help when I'm wheezing up the skintrack next season.

New Horizon came in, bad news is it got a little banged up in shipping. Quarter sized divot between the bindings where the fiberglass is now compressible with my finger. No funky sounds when flexing the board so I think the core is fine, but do I need to be worried about the core getting exposed to moisture?

I figure it's fine but I don't have a shop near me to take a look.

Good news is she's a beauty, may need to snag some of those 2024 team forces to throw on there

(pic isn't super helpful but here you go)

Sorry to see that dude, that sucks. I'm kinda surprised the shipper doesn't have insurance or anything like that?

Follow up, since there were no more in stock evo offered to refund it and give 20% off something else or let me keep it and refund me 40% what I paid.

Since the core feels fine I'm gonna slap a little epoxy on there and rip a Horizon for ~65% off retail :)

Still waiting to hear from UPS, not real optimistic there but at this point anything on that front would just be a bonus.
