Would you take the Lynx to Baldface...?

Agree with you @pow_hnd in that for all the good that Korua is for turning, they do require more work than other boards, esp as I've moved away from them now. Legs def feel way more tired riding Koruas relative to say, my Passport, for the same amount of time. And I take some relative pride in my leg strength as I play footy (soccer) all year round.

The flex and build of Koruas are great when turning esp at higher speeds, but also the same factors that make them feel way more work to ride, relative to other decks out there imo. Still great boards for what they do well, but agree totally with Pow here.

I'd have no qualms riding it at Baldface. But if I took it, I'd still take the Powgoda as well.

Good insight. It's interesting.. I agree, yet I'm on the other end of the spectrum, in that what I get out of those boards is less fatigue, because they "require" what they do. Always makes me think of the orbit discussions with kimchi.

Yesterday was 15", bottomless. Again where this deck shines over the Korua is in the low speed steep and tight trees. Far more maneuverable with far less effort the the Otto, the Lynx just killed it. Bobsled exits are so much easier and less tiring. At the end of the day the winds kicked up quite a bit which totally wind buffed out the groomers and the Lynx was just like butter on them. Just love this deck more and more everyday I ride it.

This morning we did 4 sidecoutnry runs of fully untracked storm cycle snow of about 20"+, nobody was really going out the gates yesterday. Again deck just killed it. I did do one inbounds run on a fresh, but firm groomer, in that scenario, the Koruas for sure have an advantage, more camber and stiffer flex just gets along better with the firm groomers. It's an advantage I can live without, the Lynx rides just fine, but I would feel far more confident on the Otto getting up to like 50mph and leaning into a heel side turn as hard as I can. Thankfully, that is not my jam and what I do, so it's of very little consequence to me.

I really think I have found my quiver killer. Obviously what is a quiver killer is highly subjective, but for me here are the specs that seem to have done it.

When the trees tighten up and there's a single line that leads out that is hardpacked with lots of turns and tight spots. Usually where you have to keep your speed up to make it out.

Got it thanks. Lol that describes most of our trees here in the icy east, so I can appreciate the term. Unless it's a true pow day, speed control threading the needle is often a sphincter-tightening adventure

Never knew there was a colloquial name for those. Just always called them 'drainage' single track because everything funnels into them.
