I'm in Tahoe this weekend but driving back with the family from west shore. May be able to sneak out in afternoon Sstursay but mostly going to be snowshoeing and sledding.

Would be down to aim for something in mid-April-ish though.

Posted this in Captain's Log thread, but I'm most likely cutting my season short at 6 days on snow. My wife won't be able to pick up the toddler for a few weeks, so I can't pop away. Was hoping to get to 10 days, but didn't work out.

I probably won't get another pass for years. I barely "broke even" on the Ikon this year, 5 days at Palisades/Alpine and 1 buddy ticket at Sugar Bowl. Moving forward, I'm better off bumming buddy tickets off friends at Sugar Bowl and Kirkwood, or getting Sierra tickets from Costco.

This season pretty much confirmed I need to significantly cut back the quiver. We're hoping for a 2nd kid, so I likely won't break double digits again until the youngest is old enough for ski school. Even if I can "afford" to have more decks than days on snow, it feels ridiculous.

We decided to take a break from Ikon. Went with Sugarbowl after @kimchi planted the seed a few seasons back.

Looking forward to fewer crowds and a decent terrain park again. Plus a shorter drive from SF. The biggest challenge will be lodging, so we'll see how it shakes out.

Word, hit up Shawn. He got a pass there. He was trying to convince me to get one there, but due to costs/more friends at Squaw, couldn't swing it. I might try to get a day or two in up there. Unity Day has been held there as well for the past few years.

BTW, I'll be at the SB Snowfests again this year if you want to come by and shoot the shit.

Haven't seen Dr Dre in years!

@Alkasquawlik oh word! Looks like it's SB Snowfest is going down November 3rd, and you gotta reserve free tickets. What time frame will you be around? https://www.eventbrite.com/e/snowfest-2 ... tdtcreator

Probably be there around ~10 AM - 4 PM or so. Depends on how busy it is. 11/23 is the Presidio sale as well, but that one is always a shit show with how many people show up.

Side lines for me this year. Thing #2 due December 12. Might swing a family trip in March or April, but even then we'll probably be at somewhere tiny like Granlibakken. Maybe Tahoe Donner if I get a little ambitious. If I get really lucky maybe I can snaf a couple buddy passes at Kirkwood.

When I start getting passes again I'll probably do Sugar Bowl.

Hang in there! — my friend didn't snowboard for 3 seasons after his first kid, but now that his kid (now 6) rides and is sponsored, he's going 3x a week, even in the summer at Big Snow.

Congrats, dude! Our 2nd is turning one this month already; feels like time's flying at warp speed 😵‍💫. Hope everything is going well with it 👊🏻.

This will be my first season in over a decade without having any season pass whatsoever, given the logistics with my lady and I with work & watching our two lil ones mainly (on top of already playing ⚽ 2 nights/week). Hoping to go on a lil trip somewhere with my bro & crew in Feb or March, and ride on days off, hopefully.
