BINDINGS
Re: BINDINGS
Have tried the adjustable heelcup Bent Metals. At 9.5-10 it feels right in between on sizing, going to a large even if it's technically outside the range, they work well on the inner setting, and heelcup doesn't slip like Union, but they are low over the instep like Unions. Medium feels narrow. Could give the plastic/adjustable footbed ones a go to see if it's different if I come by some. There's a graphic in the middle of the footbed and canted foam on the sides, and you can kinda feel that, so more evenly distributed foam would probably have been better. Front to back it feels nice. Highback on the Logic is kinda fun, very soft but wraps around the boot in a supportive way, not bad at all for jibbing. Can get close to the boa though. Swappable footbeds, meh, if they came with different ones in the box maybe. It's ok for taking the whole thing off for mounting, but if you break the plastic tab, it's probably not ok anymore.
Re: BINDINGS
I had Now Drives about 5 or 6 years ago, some things I loved about them, some I really disliked so I moved on. I'm super happy with my Union Atlas and I've got a bunch of pairs, but I'm thinking about giving Now another try considering that there are deals everywhere. But I looked over the Now website and couldn't figure it out, can anyone tell me the difference between Hangar 2.0 and Hangar 3.0?
Re: BINDINGS
Footbed is longer, pods further out, they rounded the inner edge of the skatetech thingy, think that's it. Some more toeside response, and it doesn't pinch the outer side of your feet, if that was an issue.SJF_NH wrote: ↑Sun Mar 17, 2024 10:43 am I had Now Drives about 5 or 6 years ago, some things I loved about them, some I really disliked so I moved on. Re: BINDINGS
3.0 is slightly wider as well, no? Some people who need medium found them too snug, IIRC
Re: BINDINGS
Hanger 3.0 definitely wider and around bigger, I was maxed out in a medium with US 10 Adidas on 2.0, both girth and edge of the footbed. Got little bit of room in every direction on 3.0 mediums.
Subtly better edge to edge power transmission because the bushings extend our closer to the edges, but I probably couldn't tell the difference unless I owned both Hanger 2 and 3 bindings and rode them back to back (which I did for brief period). Biggest thing I noticed was better (for me) sizing.

Re: BINDINGS
Incase anyone was wondering, the best toe straps in existence (and their ladders) fit my Unions perfectly:
Re: BINDINGS
I might need to get me some of those. The toe straps are the only thing I don't quite like about my Bent Metal bindings. One of them already broke at the ladder, last year. Had to go buy a replacement.eleveneightnate wrote: ↑Thu Apr 11, 2024 1:14 pm Incase anyone was wondering, the best toe straps in existence (and their ladders) fit my Unions perfectly:

Re: BINDINGS
what do you like most about the Auxtech vs the standard Atlas toes? the only real complaints I have on my Union toe straps is that when I run them in the further back position, sometimes snow will cake in the gap in front of the ladder so I can't get them over the front of my boot.eleveneightnate wrote: ↑Thu Apr 11, 2024 1:14 pm Incase anyone was wondering, the best toe straps in existence (and their ladders) fit my Unions perfectly:

Re: BINDINGS
The Rome straps stretch and contour really well over all of my boots and have tons of surface area (which = no pressure points). I haven't used some of the newer Union toe straps, but the ones on the Stratas have a weird pressure point for me where the buckle is and these rigid spots on both sides that keep it from contouring to my boot. The buckles also swivel around easily instead of staying in place no matter how much I tighten the screw.coleslawed wrote: ↑Thu Apr 11, 2024 2:17 pmwhat do you like most about the Auxtech vs the standard Atlas toes? the only real complaints I have on my Union toe straps is that when I run them in the further back position, sometimes snow will cake in the gap in front of the ladder so I can't get them over the front of my boot.eleveneightnate wrote: ↑Thu Apr 11, 2024 1:14 pm Incase anyone was wondering, the best toe straps in existence (and their ladders) fit my Unions perfectly:
