Center bump is not new for capita. I first had it on a 2012 bsod, for example.

Isn't that just 'Death Grip' it's been on some of their boards for a long time. One bump, right in the middle.

I was always in B (a lot of years) and was never interested in Capita. Now because of EL I'm already choosing one for next year 🤦🏻‍♂️😂

But death grip caught my attention because many EL riders don't like mag but they like capita

For what I remember, the death grip is not invasive like magnetraction.
I've had 2 Capita boards with Death Grip

Rewaxed and rode Aeronaut in slushier conditions, glide seemed better. Unclear if the stock tune works better in wetter conditions or I just waxed it better. But gliding well enough that I'm not super worried about it.

I find capita bases are always way faster at warmer temps. Could be wax? Not sure…

Maybe factory structure? Just running my hand over the base the Burton WFO on Free Thinker seems like a finer structure than the Aero. I didn't have the FT on me this weekend, curious how I'd have felt if I had.

I just know when I bring them to Quebec and it’s -20C air temp and they barely slide lol.
