Re: United Shapes

@jsil I don't know your specs but I think the 154 might be a very different animal for you than the 158. I'm 5'10" 190 and the 158 is perfect for me in every way. I don't want to speak for Benjinyc but I think he's 20 pounds or so lighter, and he's previously said that the 154 is the right size ...

Re: Resort Work / Life - Seeking Beta / Advice

oh there are def employees that choose to live in their vans/trucks, if he's open to that he'll have a lot of options. I know resorts like Aspen and Crested Butte always has good job opportunities but the lack of employee housing is the issue

Re: Resort Work / Life - Seeking Beta / Advice

my friend was a patroller at Park City too (they will hire anyone), then patrolled at Brighton because of the easier commute from SLC, but ultimately wanted a more steady non-seasonal job so made the fairly easy transition to being a paramedic.

sidenote: none of the utah resorts will let you ...

Re: Resort Work / Life - Seeking Beta / Advice

my 2¢, three of my friends moved from nyc to slc and have no regrets. housing will be easier to find there compared to a resort town. As for employment, more options as well. You're not restricted to resort jobs.

Ultra has no forward lean adjustment either. The high back is pretty soft so it might not make a difference

Re: Visiting Jackson Hole 3/2—3/6

It was great. I was surprised how uncrowded it was there. I spent a day at Snowking too (indy pass) after they got 8" and no lines at all. I was pretty cooked by the 2nd day. I never had to wait in line, was just doing constant laps on the Sublette chair

Didn't rent a car this time, was great being ...

Re: Snowboard Luggage/Bags

yeah that vest is great. That would have been my first recommendation too, but it was never in stock/available this season. I regret not buying it the one time I saw it in store last winter

Re: Snowboard Luggage/Bags

scrub I have the DaKine vest, the 12L backpack is less restrictive.

There were two other backpacks I've tried on; the Mammut Nirvana 18 and the Patagonia Snowdrifter 20, they are both great and have some nice features, but they don't support vertical snowboard carry. AFAIK, the Dakine 12L is the ...
