I have the FV femur Antler. It is exactly what you are describing...light, fast, playful, and a lot of pop for a FV model. Edge hold is on par with pretty much all Burton FV models, so its decent enough but not great. My only complaint about the board was I wish it was a bit wider.

Does next year's CartelX have regular ladders, or those god awful "upgraded" double take ladders?
