Re: United Shapes
thought it may be a bit burlier version of the Gril Master, but outside of looks it's a very different ride.
Elaborate?
What Alex said is fairly on point.
"You say you have to "force" the cadet to turn sharper, but for me that means it's a board I "get to" tilt at a steeper angle for ...

Re: United Shapes
Rode the cadet 158 a few times now. One day was really rough conditions variable with frozen death cookies, one was a few inches on crust and one was slush. I think it may be a tad big for me and I'd be better off with the 154. I thought it may be a bit burlier version of the Gril Master, but ...

Re: The Step On thread
would like to hear more info for sure. that kind of impact could've done similar damage to a strap bindings, cracked the board, or done some knee damage, so needing to replace some boots/bindings may not be the worst case scenario here.
ah....doubt it. straps working are a completely ...

Re: The Step On thread
This didn't shear the screw off. The cleat actually ripped off the back of the boot completely. Boot and all.
Yeah, zooming in it looks like the screw actually stayed in the boot and the cleat broke around it (the pant clip is still hanging there and uses the same screw). Either way, the ...

Re: The Official Burton Thread
IMO although same concept, I think C2 is done better. Seems less aggressive, and typically doesn't have early rise in addition to the main profile. I'm not a fan of any rocker profile, but just sayin'
Agree with that.. C2 is definitely better and I'm also not a huge fan of any rocker profile ...

Re: The Step On thread
*For the record, I'm not posting this to imply anything about stepon, just sharing it
The heel cleat just straight up has vertical play in it. Clearly enough to shear the screw that attaches it to the boot straight off on hard landings haha. I never broke mine, but I could definitely feel ...

Re: The Official Burton Thread
Everything about the direction B is such a shame. In my head they are the second most cringe brand behind NS. Would rather ride an Armada snowboard then current day B.
100%! Current Burton is garbage. The soul of the brand died with Jake. Everything is so watered down, and the graphics are SO ...

Re: United Shapes
5'8, 170lbs, size 8.
Have you been on the 158? Curious why you think it rides bigger as a lot of people I've talked to said it actually had a bit less EE for the size.
for me, it' so stable at speed. I normally size up when I know I'm going to be bombing down the hill. The torsional flex ...

Re: United Shapes
Spenser, I grabbed it. I've wanted to try a US board for five years. I've never even seen one in person lol
Looking forward to giving it a rip. Thanks for sending my way.
