Re: Rad Air Snowboards

I think it's a cool company. They have been doing their thing since forever and that's it. Cannot say anything about their newer boards though, my friend demoed one this eason and did like it.

I do have a Tanker 182 (cambered from like 2008) that I take out whenever conditions permit it. I really ...

Re: OUTERWEAR

I do remember that my Gore-Tex Pro bibs (older freebirds) also had some discoloration from brightly dyed merino first layers, but that went away after one or two washings.

Sounds weird, but you could also try to bleach away the stains by just putting the pants in the sun? UV does a really good job ...

Re: HARDGOODS 25/26

well not like that, you can ofcourse get cheaper labour from neighbour countries etc, in finland the "cheap" workers come from estonia even cheaper from latvia and cheapest from lithuania.

and they will be given a minimum wage contract as it is but usually when they work as contractors so they ...

Re: The boot thread

I like the idea that the shell is made out of pebax. They do say it maintains flex over the products lifecycle - I hope this means it actually holds up longer than other softboots.

Re: The Step On thread

Well yes, that would be one solution.

I was more suggesting that if Burton/Step-on are trying to make their system the industry norm then some sort of release mechanism that activates under the heaviest of impacts might make sense. Something that kicks in before your boots break would be nice ...

Re: HARDGOODS 25/26

A new burnt orange colorway for AK? Hopefully it shows up in some of their more affordable pieces.

This is whatever used to be AK457 or whatever they call it now ("AK Japan Guide?"). These colorways don't transfer over, which sucks because that shade of blue is awesome.

I ...

Re: HARDGOODS 25/26

My personal opinion is that reference is gonna get the most out of the deck, where it was designed to have the bindings mounted with its geometry.

I know I'm overthinking this, but even there you'd need some sort of reference angles, because I do think the center of the force you transmit to the ...

Re: HARDGOODS 25/26

Don't have a strong opinion on FASE/Step-ON/Supramatic, but I personally also do not care about the channel at all. I did have an old Capita Totally Awesome that had it, it was fine, but I never changed the stance after the initial set up. The whole notion of adjusting the stance for powder just ...

I'm just waiting for the Atomic and Head semihard stepon boots.
