Re: The Official CAPiTA Thread

Travis Rice explained this (lack of full camber in tip and tail) the best, imo - most difference is on landing. I don't buy Lars's explanation at all, that any lack of camber at contact points makes board an "unridable".

I think this is the video where I heard T.Rice talking about camber ...

Re: The Official CAPiTA Thread

Even Kazu is not damp at all. Surprisingly it was my favorite for icy conditions (for carving), before Ejack Knife with Magne-Traction. :) I tune my boards to 88° and no detuning at contact points, but it was very good also with factory tune. And I was not able to remove all detuning from contact ...

Mine are still untested, because those seems to be very warm and we did not have very cold weather this season. :)

But I have seen people in Alps with electric warming gloves switched on in very warm weather for myself.

I bought it recently used, it did not even had visible marks from bindings, although base was dry and probably never waxed, so it was ridden, but not much.

Now I need to figer out how to ...

Re: United Shapes

thought it may be a bit burlier version of the Gril Master, but outside of looks it's a very different ride.

Elaborate?

For me, both does not have any dampening, I was surprised that you found some dampening in Cadet. :)

But “turning” experience on Gril Master and Cadet is quite opposite ...

New to me Ejack Knife 162W. 8-)

First impression is WOW, today was icy and this board really boosts up confidence to carving in icy conditions. 8-) All my other boards do not have any bumps on edge, my daughter’s Jones Aviator 154 does, and I have tried it, but did not noticed similar ...

Re: The Wax and Tune Ya Goon Thread

Btw, if you need wax for "cold application" but for warm weather, then my favorite will be mountainFLOW’s Quick Wax Warm: https://mountainflow.com/collections/eco-wax/products/quick-wax-2-temps?variant=34954351313057 . With this wax you can do similar thing as hot waxing and hot scrubbing in a hotel ...

Re: The Wax and Tune Ya Goon Thread

In my personal experience with cold application waxes, spray waxes are the worst to penetrate / stay on the base, rub-on second worst (depends how much time you spend on rubbing :) ), then comes liquid waxes and paste waxes are best, at least greasy ones. Paste waxes have most time to penetrate into ...

I can recommend Toko Express Racing Paste Wax https://www.skiwax.eu/toko-express-raci ... zpRivW8jF5 , works very well also in cold conditions and also lasts well.
