Re: The Official CAPiTA Thread
Definitely wouldn't call the Aero stiff, but I think it's stiffer than rated. I'd call it closer to 7 than a 6 personally. Billy Goat was more like a 7.5 from what I recall and reckon BC is similar.
I am tempted to demo a BC in the 163W. Little wide for me (268 mm on 10-10.5 US) but no wider and ...

Re: The Official CAPiTA Thread
Anyone want to swap a 159 Aeronaut (either season) for my 2024 157?
Also, is anyone running Ultras a la Arthur on their Aero? @Jean77 put up a sweet link in the deals thread and I might cop.
i run ultra's on my 57, love them. i've been running stiffer bindings for years (Now Drive's and Burton ...

Re: The Official CAPiTA Thread
well, the universe works in strange ways.
i was in rush to get up to the mountains late this morning, and forgot several things. i didn't bring any boards with me and don't have any up in the mountains. thankfully i had an old pair of Ions in my truck, and ended up picking up a 57 aeronaut and ...

Re: The Official CAPiTA Thread
makes sense, i've got a decade on you so i can only imagine what mid 40's must feel like after a crash or two!
i didn't ride the aero on too many bad days last year, but thankfully we don't get many icy days here. it was definitely more work in chop/chunder than the BC is. no thinking required on ...

Re: The Official CAPiTA Thread
Got some time on the Aeronaut. Great board that does exactly what it says on the wrapper. Just a really good time zooming around the resort jumping off stuff and making those short tight (but not laid out) carves. Very nimble and easy to control and ultra sendable. One of those boards that ...

Re: The Official Mervin Manufacturing Thread
hell yeah Kevington , i love my 59 as well and have had it in deep pow and it performed quite well at my current weight (162lbs/73.5kg). a 62 would be great for bigger lines and more backcountry oriented things, no doubt. will see how the 59 does in sled access/ bigger mountain terrain in a few ...
