Re: The boot thread

Biggest problems with vans boot is that you cannot really fit custom insoles in them as the original ones are really thick on the heel.

Van's Pop Cush insoles are INSANE. I get the desire to avoid heel bruises, but holy crap.

Re: Snowboard Luggage/Bags

Anyone have strong feelings on a small (~12-14L) sidecountry pack that holds avy gear and water + vertical board carry? My DK heli 20 is functionally fine & great size for a tour, but I don't need the extra room when we hike from the chair. Just thinking slim.

I'm looking at the oneball little ...

Re: Visiting Jackson Hole 3/2—3/6

It was great. I was surprised how uncrowded it was there. I spent a day at Snowking too (indy pass) after they got 8" and no lines at all. I was pretty cooked by the 2nd day. I never had to wait in line, was just doing constant laps on the Sublette chair

Didn't rent a car this time, was great ...

Re: The boot thread

I've seen and considered those Patriot sleeves before. I think they'd be fine as a first pass if you don't want to fuck about too much and have a relatively simple. It's pretty idiot-proof, which is great because most people don't want to get too complicated (no shade at this, I don't overcomplicate ...

Re: BINDINGS

When I finally start splitting again, I will likely switch to Unions. If pow_hnd 's on board, i'm confident they've worked out the kinks.

I distinctly remember a sick inbounds pow day at Brighton winter 2019/20 on my Sparks... I was sneaking in a quick pow day and then IMMEDIATELY needed to do a ...

Re: The boot thread

I had the Judges, and they were about the same flex as my Deeluxe Areth Rin's (6/10 vs 4/10 on their scales)

If you can believe it when they came out they were rated 8/10 . They bumped them down to 6/10, which I'd still call generous.

Cole sold me these Judges as fuck-around boots for carpet ...

Email them. They're pretty responsive. They might have a chat function on their site too.

Re: The boot thread

Great review. Remind's marketing copy is TERRIBLE, this is the best breakdown I've ever seen.

I've gotten PRETTY good results out of custom insoles + Adidas, but I still have occasional foot fatigue / pain. I have a set of liners that are just about done and thought about giving these a shot as a ...

Re: The boot thread

That Rift APX looks sick. Might get me to sell my Adidas backlog. They fit great but I'd rather rep an endemic company if they're equivalent.

Nidecker Altais seems to fit me decently well but little shoddy construction. Suspected Rift too soft and Kita too stiff... these might be the ticket if ...
