Re: OUTERWEAR

Got one Patagonia C-knit backer jacket, interior definitely holds stains more than my other 3L gear. I have some random smudge in middle back of the liner, probably from storing it in same luggage with some leather shoes years ago.

Re: Captians log...

Caught maybe 100 ft of late season vert at Boreal, which is done for the season. Walked up, snow was garbage, was on a splitboard so feel on hard snow was super wonky, caught maybe one semi-proper turn, and mountain ops kicked me out after 5 minutes.

Fucking epic. I love snowboarding.

Also took ...

Re: HARDGOODS 25/26

but those posts tend to be handily drowned out by the overwhelming uninformed which get voted to the top. You can take a lot away from that.

That's basically the perfect description of Reddit in general.

Still some GREAT Subreddits out there but without fail they’re (relatively) small. From ...

Re: HARDGOODS 25/26

I am happier for having cut back time on SBF and /r/snowboarding Reddit. Good people and convos pop up on both, but good fucking lord the signal-to-noise ratio is abysmal. Any time I spent on those forums itching to talk snowboarding with anyone with a pulse has largely been replaced by kids, work ...

Day two of spring slush laps at Mammoth. Despite the late season conditions, coverage is still great in most of the mountain, and the soft snow is making for some fun off piste riding, as well.

Re: The Official CAPiTA Thread

Not being wide is one of the major design features of the BC. I would advise to keep it on the regular width versions if you have size 10. Don't you wear Adidas boots too? So like a 9 in most other brands?

Adidas 10, but 10.5 in most brands. Adidas 10 I can get away with a 255 mm waist, other ...

Re: The Official CAPiTA Thread

Definitely wouldn't call the Aero stiff, but I think it's stiffer than rated. I'd call it closer to 7 than a 6 personally. Billy Goat was more like a 7.5 from what I recall and reckon BC is similar.

I am tempted to demo a BC in the 163W. Little wide for me (268 mm on 10-10.5 US) but no wider and ...

Re: HARDGOODS 25/26

Rode both the W26 Capita Aero & the Mercury. Both didn't really excite as much as I was hoping, esp the Aero. Could be due to the fact it felt barely broken in, but the 57 Longo felt a lot stiffer underfoot than I expected and prefer these days. Rode it for a few laps (conditions were firm slush ...

Got some time on the Aeronaut.

[...]

The 157 felt a bit small for me. When trying to carve hard I could lose the edge quite easily. But thats not what it's for. Staying light on your feet and bouncing around the mountain is what its all about and it does it very well.

Interesting. I find my ...

Re: The boot thread

Biggest problems with vans boot is that you cannot really fit custom insoles in them as the original ones are really thick on the heel.

Van's Pop Cush insoles are INSANE. I get the desire to avoid heel bruises, but holy crap.
