Re: Amplid Snowboards

I've ridden the Kill Switch and the Singular and both were meh. Couldn't wait to get off them both. Oh, I did like the Surfari though, but would only like it for freeriding and no sidehits. But since sidehits are awesome I would never get one.

Re: The Official Korua Shapes Thread

I had a warped flight attendant too. Took it to a shop and they just said, yeah it's common with Burton's.
it rode fine but I quickly sold it.

Re: OUTERWEAR

Next level up is the gore-tex gt jacket which has that oversized chest zip. It looks ridiculous imo. Plus it has some ridiculous upgrades I mentioned before (merino in pockets, RFID pocket so noone steals your cc date). I love the GT jacket. I agree that the upgrades you mentioned are pretty trivia...

Re: OUTERWEAR

I just re-waterproofed some bibs I own so I didn't order new bibs. Got the gore core pant and dojo pant (for snowskating). I was going to dump the fragment jacket for not having pitzips but I'll try it out and see how it goes. the purple colorway is actually light blue in person. And the sassafras j...

Re: OUTERWEAR

damn, 686 outerwear design is so frustrating. They add useless crap to drive the price up (like a draw cord on a crew neck hoody or merino on the collar and in the pockets of a jacket. ) All I want is a classic goretex jacket. 2 (or 1) chest pocket, pit zips etc. The men's hydra thermagraph has a go...

Re: The Wax and Tune Ya Goon Thread

great points about if the base WAS expanding with heat, then any holes in the base would get smaller. The 'proof' I've been using is the one I heard on the Bombhole episode with the K2 designer, who said if there were pores in the base, then water would get in. The kool aid drinking in the wax indus...

Re: OUTERWEAR

Goldwin makes the north face in Japan. I think they do 241, but I forget. They used to make a snowboard brand called Blueblood too.

Re: The Wax and Tune Ya Goon Thread

No idea about this stuff… But I have all my decks done with Phantom and it is the real deal. I am always faster than the homies and always catch and pass them in the flats. When you wax over the top of it you’re stupid fast. dude, if you're waxing with Hertel, the speed you're feeling is only the H...

Re: The Wax and Tune Ya Goon Thread

interesting product for sure. You can tell it was designed by a skier as everything from the name to logos is so generic.
Let us know how it rides.

From the website I learned that to wax a board I need the following'
Ski Technician
Bench
Clamps
Wax
Iron
ScraperBrushes
