Re: Vermont
I know neon wave does demos at their flagship which is near me in NY. I would assume you could grab a board from their shop in Stowe. Based on events they’ve put on in the past they’ve got a pretty good selection in their demo fleet, including some Gentemsticks. They’ve partnered with/taken over the...

Re: Captians log...
Days one and two this weekend. Trying to feel out the Super DOA, it’s been a few years since I’ve ridden a true twin. I enjoyed it, a little softer than I expected but that’s ok. More than anything I’m glad to be back on snow.

Re: HARDGOODS 25/26
Wasn’t there a company making extra long ankle ladders? I remember Lucas magoon rocking them not too long ago. Fase is adding the open high back on top of that. New ideas and concepts are how things evolve and advance, but I feel conflicted as a grumpy old man that loves my conventional strap bindin...

Re: Check out my new...
A local shop had their fall sale this weekend and I found this under a stack of technine boards. The price was great and I’ve never owned a Capita, so it was an easy decision.

Some afternoon laps because work sucks and I’ve had enough of it for the week. Tried to make the best of the two runs that are left but doesn’t take a genius to see the season is all but finished in the immediate area. I’m going to have to go to Vermont if I really want to enjoy myself. Which is ok ...

We went to Bristol. We’re only 8 miles down the road so it’s good for a few laps to clear the brain some days. I’ve never been to KB but holiday valley has a much more welcoming vibe these days. The boardroom in ellicotville is a rad little shop as well. Bought my cheetah from them a few years ago.

Re: The boot thread
Noticed the other day that the eyelets on my vans hi standard pros were starting to tear after about 20 riding days. Out of curiosity I sent an email to Vans and despite being a few weeks outside of their one year warranty, they sent a gift card for the purchase price. Ordered this years version fro...

Re: Captians log...
Day 11. Ditched work and me and the wife hit the local here in western NY for some bluebird slush laps. When I dropped my board on the snow to get in line I realized I forgot to put the baseplate covers back in my bindings after waxing the other night. It also meant I didn’t tighten the bindings dow...
Re: Tahoe
I had a blast out there. With the forecast I was tempted to demo a pow gun, but opted to see how the Otto would handle a deep powder day. Got stuck a couple times but it wasn’t the boards fault by any stretch. I think the last time I rode snow that deep was when I lived at Snowmass over a decade ago...
Re: Tahoe
Really appreciate the info @kimchi. We got to homewood at 9 this morning and we were by ourselves for a solid hour and change. Barely saw anyone else until we started making our way back to the car early afternoon.
